US-Israel R&D Grants

Up to $1,000,000 grants for innovative projects !

Any pair of companies, one Israeli and one U.S.-based, may apply jointly for the grant.

Companies can use the grants to define, develop, manufacture, sell and support an innovative product .

Calls for proposal are due twice a year (around March and September). BIRD provides funding covering up to 50% of project development costs, up to $1M per project.  BIRD takes no equity in the companies.
The granted projects cover technology sectors such as: Agriculture, Communications, , Electronics,  Life Sciences,  Renewable  Energy and others.
The Bird foundation supports around  20 projects  annually. The cumulative sales of products developed through BIRD projects have exceeded $10 billion.
